2. Weed control: Following our mulch rule will then result in weed control. However, there are times when you need to get down are dirty and simply rip the weeds up by hand. 4. Frequent watering: The summer is the hottest season. Due to the extreme heat, watering is crucial for your garden. Plan to water your garden multiple times a week to keep the flowers flourishing.
5. Trimming late perrennials: Keep mums, sedums, and asters looking neat by trimming the top couple of inches of the plant. This will delay the flowering however will keep the plant bushy so there will be more flowers in the end.
